Assist in managing the Teens Division of our library, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for young readers.
Help teens locate and select appropriate books, resources, and materials based on their interests and reading levels.
Organize and maintain the shelving of books, ensuring they are accurately categorized and easy to find.
Provide support in planning and executing engaging events, workshops, and reading challenges for teenagers.
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to encourage regular library usage among teens.
Collaborate with the library team to curate relevant reading lists and displays to promote diverse literary interests.
Offer basic technology assistance to teens accessing digital resources and e-books.
Maintain accurate records of library transactions, memberships, and overdue materials.
Uphold the library’s policies and procedures, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all visitors.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills, with an ability to connect with teenagers and foster a love for reading.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly and accessible library collection.
Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in young adult literature.
Basic knowledge of library classification systems and cataloging techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic library environment.
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to library patrons.
Tech-savviness to assist teens with digital resources and troubleshoot basic technology issues.
