Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Discord Moderator. The ideal candidate will manage and moderate our Discord server, ensuring a positive, engaging environment for our community. Additionally, you will be responsible for moderating live chat during streams, keeping discussions focused, and maintaining a high level of interaction with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Discord Server Moderation:

-Monitor and manage daily conversations on the server.
-Enforce server rules and guidelines to maintain a respectful and engaging community.
-Engage with users by answering questions and facilitating discussions related to NBA games and sports..
-Remove inappropriate content or disruptive users when necessary.

Live Stream Chat Moderation (During NBA Games):

-Actively moderate chat during live NBA game streams.
-Keep discussions focused on the game and relevant topics.
-Remove spam or disruptive users in real-time to ensure a smooth experience for all viewers.
-Highlight key moments or opportunities in the chat to keep engagement high.

Community Engagement:

-Help organize events such as Q&A sessions, prediction contests, or post-game analysis discussions.
-Assist with posting announcements, game schedules, and tips in relevant channels before and during games.

Requirements:

-Experience moderating Discord servers or similar online communities.
-Familiarity with NBA basketball and sports betting terminology (e.g., spread, moneyline, over/under).
-Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle fast-paced conversations during live events.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with users in a friendly, professional manner.
-Availability during NBA games (evenings/weekends depending on the schedule).

Preferred Qualifications:

-Previous experience moderating live streams or online events.
-Knowledge of Discord bots (e.g., MEE6, Dyno) for automating moderation tasks.
-Passion for NBA basketball and sports betting.
