The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Intern for Publicity, Studios & Disney+ from January to June 2025 in Makati City, Philippines. This role provides a unique opportunity for aspiring public relations professionals to gain hands-on experience in entertainment marketing. The intern will support the public relations function and be exposed to various aspects of integrated marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Media Monitoring:
    • Monitor and analyze media coverage related to Disney+ and Disney Studios, as well as industry trends.
    • Compile daily reports as needed.
  • PR Campaigns:
    • Develop and execute PR campaigns for upcoming Disney+ content and theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios.
    • Assist in creating and managing press materials, including press releases, media kits, and assets.
    • Collaborate with local PR agencies to ensure campaign timelines are met.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with media and influencers.
    • Support the coordination of press events, junkets, and on-ground activities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other teams within Disney Entertainment, such as social media, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Must be available for a full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9 am-6 pm) between January and June 2025.
  • Indicate your internship availability (start and end date) and expected graduation date in your resume.
  • Provide a link to your marketing portfolio (if applicable).

Experience

  • Knowledge or interest in The Walt Disney Company’s key brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
  • Prior experience in public relations or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.

Skills

  • Highly self-motivated, meticulous, and passionate about communications.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving environment and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiasm for collaboration in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision and can prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Keynote.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus.
