Role Overview

As a Tax Associate at Intuit, you will help customers prepare their taxes using TurboTax products. You will provide tax advice, assist with return preparation, handle tax calculations, and address product inquiries. This role is virtual and customer-facing, requiring you to communicate with clients through video and audio tools while providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Advice:
- Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax software, including providing full-service return preparation, tax calculations, and answering product-related inquiries.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate and easy-to-understand answers to customer questions.
Customer Interaction:
- Engage with customers through video communication tools, offering a professional, friendly, and confident service experience.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions for future reference and follow-up.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years of paid experience preparing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software.
Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
Ability to obtain any relevant state licenses, certificates, or permits.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with clients via video and audio tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage your time effectively.

Technical Requirements

A dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit’s security criteria.

Availability

Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
