Job Description:
Join UCHealth as an RN Telephone Advice provider, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives by offering expert advice, guidance, and support over the phone. You will be responsible for assessing patients’ symptoms, providing care advice, and referring them to appropriate resources. This role requires clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to providing the best possible care experience for patients.

  • Assess patient symptoms, determine acuity, and develop a care plan based on established protocols.
  • Provide professional advice, education, and referrals to healthcare providers and community resources as needed.
  • Contact emergency response services when appropriate.
  • Document calls, responses, and referrals. Follow up with patients to evaluate the effectiveness of the care provided.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and exercise independent decision-making.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Credentials:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Colorado license.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR for the Professional Rescuer).
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Multi-state RN license required upon hire.
    • BLS or CPR certification must be current, with renewals as per American Heart Association standards.

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $33.08 – $51.27 per hour (dependent on experience).
