Responsibilities:

Coding Quality Reviews: Conduct and complete certified coder quality reviews in collaboration with coding leads and supervisors.
Monitoring and Reporting: Develop tools and reports to track and evaluate coding quality standards, providing statistical reports to leadership.
Training and Improvement: Identify coding quality issues, recommend improvements, and provide education and training for coding staff.
Regulatory Knowledge: Stay current on Medicare, Medicaid, and other coding standards.

Required Certifications:

AHIMA Certifications (e.g., CCA, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT)
AAPC Certifications (e.g., CPC, SCP)
BMSC Certification (e.g., Specialty Coding Professional)

Education & Experience:

Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Coding Specialist program.
Experience: 5 years of professional coding and 3 years in education/training.

Skills & Abilities:

Expert Knowledge: ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
Analytical Skills: Advanced ability to analyze trends and provide recommendations for coding improvements.
Computer Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office and similar tools.
Training & Communication: Ability to educate and train others effectively.

Remote: The position is remote, but some travel may be required.
Office Environment: Typical office conditions with equipment necessary to perform the role.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $26.10 – $39.15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
