Job Description:

Job Summary
This position falls under part of the UPS Technology Group’s Operations Technology team (OPT). The co-op collaborates with team leads and project teams under the supervision of senior members of the group and contributes to the success of the team. The co-op will work on small enhancements, reporting, and rewriting small applications that the larger team is responsible for. He/She possesses analysis skills, knowledge of application life cycle methodology, and the ability to take specifications and work from them. This position has knowledge of applications such as Java, SQL Server, and OpenShift.

Responsibilities:

  • Makes enhancements to and rewrites small applications.
  • Maintains reporting.
  • Develops project plans and identifies tasks and milestones.
  • Drives assigned project(s) to completion, tracking results and exceeding expectations.

  • Must be a student currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months
  • Post-graduate or current Master’s student preferred
  • Technical Skills: Java, SQL server, OpenShift
  • Must be willing to work hybrid from our Parsippany, NJ office (max 3 days/week in person)
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hr/week during the school year and up to 40 hr/week on school breaks or once graduated.
