E-Typist, Inc. is looking for experienced Legal Dictation Transcriptionists to join their team. This fully remote, contract position allows you to work from the comfort of your home, with flexible hours. Key Details:

Position Type: Independent Contractor (Full-time, Contract)

Responsibilities:

Transcribe dictated recordings, varying in length and quality.
Format legal documents, including memos, letters, insurance forms, and court documents.
Ensure proper spelling, capitalization, and use of legal and medical terminology.
Conduct basic research to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Proofread work before submission, adhering to E-Typist guidelines and client preferences.

Qualifications:

Must have at least 5 years of dictation transcription experience with attorneys or other single speakers.
Must type at least 65 words per minute (WPM).
Proficient in Microsoft Word 2007 or newer, with advanced formatting knowledge.
Legal terminology knowledge is required, especially for workers’ comp and legal court documents.
Ability to create formal legal correspondence, reports, and legal citations.
Strong English grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Must have excellent listening skills and be comfortable working independently.

Success Criteria:

Work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Maintain spelling accuracy of 95% or higher after 30 days.
Maintain grammar and formatting accuracy of 95% or higher after 30 days.

Windows 7 or higher computer with Microsoft Office 365.
