Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, web, or written communication, providing assistance and resolving issues.
- Address customer questions and resolve routine matters related to their plans, benefits, and services.
- Handle incoming requests and route more complex issues to the appropriate team.
- Build strong, empathetic relationships with customers to understand their needs.
- Educate customers about available benefits, services, and tools to self-manage their plans.
- Document and track interactions in our CRM system, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Support clinical, provider, and member operations by managing various administrative tasks.
- Provide guidance on claims, medical necessity, and eligibility, assisting with documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, especially in a call center or retail environment.
- Empathetic approach to customer service with the ability to manage sensitive situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment or with health plans.
- Familiarity with Aetna’s products and services is a plus.
