Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationships:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts through face-to-face and remote sales methods.
- Act as the subject matter expert in all FedEx services, leveraging internal resources for product and sales training.
- Build connections with potential future clients and engage at various organizational levels, including executive-level contacts.
- Sales Plans and Strategy:
- Develop and implement sales plans for primary accounts to achieve income and margin goals.
- Analyze client needs and collaborate with pricing teams for customized proposals.
- Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of sales plans, including data tracking for sales metrics and financial compliance.
- Sales Research:
- Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities.
- Manage account adjustments and additions based on ongoing market evaluations.
- Collaboration:
- Work with various FedEx operational units to fulfill client needs and meet corporate goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to align objectives and maintain client satisfaction.
- Sales Systems Management:
- Maintain CRM systems to track area activities, contacts, and opportunities.
- Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) for presentations, reporting, and proposals.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in transportation or corporate account management.
- Proven ability to sell and manage specific vertical markets, including corporate or public sector transportation sales.
- Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to manage travel up to 35% of the time, with reliable transportation.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
- Solid understanding of transportation sales and customer service processes.
