Job Title: Clinical Interviewer (EAP Counselors for Military Family and Life Counseling Program)

Position Summary:

The Clinical Interviewer is responsible for conducting initial clinical interviews with candidates applying to be EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Counselors for the Military Family and Life Counseling (MFLC) program. The role involves reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and assessing the candidates’ suitability for the MFLC role. The Clinical Interviewer will perform approximately 30 interviews per week and document the results in the interview format, submitting them electronically to the interview tracker.

  • Interview Scheduling: Provide the Magellan recruiter with available interview time slots to accommodate the interview volume.
  • Candidate Evaluation:
    • Assess if candidates understand the MFLC role and have relevant military experience or background.
    • Evaluate if candidates possess the necessary clinical skills and experience for the MFLC role.
    • Determine if candidates have the personality and public speaking ability to make the MFLC program approachable to service members.
    • Assess candidates’ potential to fit into the non-traditional, creative MFLC counseling role and to succeed in a structured environment.
  • Interview Documentation: Complete the clinical interview format and submit interview results for uploading into the Interview Tracker within 24 hours.
  • Collaboration: Discuss interview results with the Regional Supervisor as needed and ensure candidates are sufficiently qualified for the second-level interview.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work professionally as part of a team.
    • Ability to prioritize and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and note-taking.
    • Understanding of the clinical nature of the MFLC role and ability to conduct interviews efficiently.
    • Flexibility to respond to last-minute scheduling needs.
  • Education and Work Experience:
    • Licensed professional counselor required.
    • A master’s degree or higher in a mental health-related field such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.

Additional Notes:

  • Work Environment: This position is fully remote, and the Clinical Interviewer must be comfortable conducting interviews from home.
  • Volume: Expected interview load is approximately 30 interviews per week.
  • Reporting: Interview results must be submitted electronically in a timely manner for processing.
