Role Overview

As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for existing customers, helping them with mortgage-related queries, amendments, and general assistance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service by managing inquiries efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensuring customers receive the right support options and guiding them through complex mortgage issues.
  • Handling inquiries related to account amendments, redemptions, title deeds, fees, and charges.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, particularly Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Keeping customer records up-to-date and maintaining accurate documentation of customer interactions.
  • Contributing to process improvements and sharing suggestions to enhance customer service.
  • Working within set Service Level Agreements and escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-completion customer service experience within the secured lending or mortgage market.
  • Familiarity with Land Registry and conveyancing activities (preferred).
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment, including Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Experience liaising with third parties, such as solicitors, is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
