Job Responsibilities:
As an Online Community Ambassador at Yelp, you will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant online community, driving engagement, and ensuring that Yelp remains the go-to platform for local business discovery. You will be responsible for the following key duties:
1. Community Engagement:
Act as the face and voice of Yelp, fostering meaningful interactions with our online community members.
Respond to user inquiries, provide valuable insights, and build strong relationships with our user base.
Monitor, moderate, and curate user-generated content to ensure the highest quality and maintain our community guidelines.
2. Content Creation:
Create engaging and informative content, including articles, reviews, and blog posts, to promote local businesses and events.
Collaborate with local businesses to spotlight their offerings and share their stories.
Produce regular newsletters and updates to keep the community informed and engaged.
3. Events and Promotions:
Organize and promote community events, both online and offline, to bring Yelp users together and celebrate local businesses.
Collaborate with local businesses to create exclusive promotions, deals, and offers for Yelp users.
4. Feedback and Improvement:
Gather and analyze user feedback to provide valuable insights to the Yelp team for platform enhancements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to ensure Yelp continued success.
Required Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a diverse online community.
Social media savvy, with experience using various platforms to engage and connect with users.
Content creation skills, including writing, photography, and video production.
Event planning and promotion experience is a plus.
A deep understanding of the local business landscape.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
