The Boeing Maritime Undersea organization seeks a Senior Linux Administrator to join the Mission Systems Operations team located in Herndon, Virginia.

 

As a team member, you are an integral part in developing hardware and software solutions for our client’s proprietary programs.  We translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection and development, system integration, testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M).

  • Perform system integration; hardware and software installationconfiguration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
  • Install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systemshardwaresoftware, and components.
  • Plan, develop, designintegrate, and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to program objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release.
  • Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.
  • Evaluate complex system production readiness and supportability.
  • Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations.
  • Perform complex system problem identification and resolution.
  • Integrate security solutions into information systems.
  • Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Use knowledge of both Linux (Primary)and Windows administration.

 

In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite at a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in Herndon, VA.
