Employment Legal Counsel (12 Month Contract – Remote, Canada)

A day in the life

• Review and monitor law developments, advise business partners as necessary and address potential impact and risk to the company Provide guidance and recommendations to business partners on appropriate current and pending legislation.
• Provide counsel on-related disputes, including managing external counsel where appropriate and coordinating with appropriate internal teams to defend such matters.
• Help counsel the business with respect to applicable legal matters. Develop and maintain company-wide guidelines and practices on applicable legal matters.

 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employment legal experience as a practicing attorney (prior in-house experience preferred).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent organizational skills.
• Good judgment with an understanding of when to ask for guidance or input.
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, research, and communication skills. Solid understanding of the difference between remote and real risks.
• Knowledge of Immigration, California employment laws, and /Litigation experience (employment or general) are assets
• This role is to be based out of Vancouver, BC (Canada).

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$128,900 – 169,200 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
