The Inventory Operations Project Leader is responsible for leading the accuracy and integrity of inventory in our Galleries, Outlets and Home Delivery Centers (HDCs) as well as reducing shrink in our field organization. The core responsibilities of this role are ongoing inventory reconciliation and reporting, systems subject matter expertise, temporary warehouse leadership and logistics, and the execution of annual Physical Inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand intracompany inventory relationships and inventory flows between systems / locations
  • Lead, develop and inspire our field teams to deliver excellence in inventory reconciliation
  • Support field locations on an ongoing basis with inventory-related issues (receiving, tracking, auditing and reporting of inventory) as well as coaching and training of inventory leaders
  • Research recorded inventory adjustments and inventory shrink issues for determination of cause (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Lead and coordinate temporary warehouse set up and closure for new location openings including logistics, operations and inventory accounting
  • Drive continued process improvements as well as system enhancements including process design – establishing, documenting and implementing change for our warehouse and inventory management systems
  • Define and implement metrics and reporting that measure quality inventory integrity and accuracy
  • Provide timely and meaningful inventory health and shrink reporting to identify critical issues
  • Lead and coordinate the annual physical inventory count for our Galleries and Outlets
  • Partner effectively with cross functional business partners, including Accounting, Distribution Centers, Engineering (IT), Finance, Galleries, Home Delivery Centers, Inventory Control, Outlets, and Transportation on inventory-related activities

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in supply chain operations/retail inventory
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for extended periods
  • Experience with Supply Chain operations and warehouse management systems preferred
  • Moderate to high level of expertise with Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis
  • Experience with Oracle RMS, Manhattan Active Omni (MAO), Salesforce and Micro Strategy a plus
