PSA Airlines is immediately seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to join our Dayton, OH Team!

The Supervisor of Maintenance impacts PSA’s safety of its customers and employees by providing supervision over all personnel on shift;

ensuring that they properly execute all maintenance updates, and the aircraft is prepared and ready for release. The Maintenance Supervisor consistently demonstrates a safe & compliant work environment, as well as ensuring compliance of subordinates.

They will schedule the department in such a manner that adequate coverage is provided while maintenance is being performed.

This role is responsible for preparing written reports to the Maintenance Manager for Delays, Cancellations, & any Irregularities.

Another responsibility of this role is signing maintenance releases & potentially assuming full responsibility for aircraft that fall under the jurisdiction of the Maintenance Department during a check.

They regularly are tasked with coordinating all operation planning to assure that the proper work is performed on the aircraft as scheduled, & that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records.

Maintaining liaison with Maintenance Control, Production Planning, and other departments is also a key component of this vital role within PSA Airlines.

They will ensure adequate tool inventories are maintained & proper use of these tools is observed, while working in an outside maintenance operation to ensure airworthiness of aircraft.

Regarding the performing of maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, or other functions affecting aircraft airworthiness, the Maintenance Supervisor on duty will be available for consultation & decision making on matters requiring instruction or higher-level decisions.

This role will provide direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic, & delegates duties as necessary. Overall, they are responsible for the Company’s Security & Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.

PSA Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Requirements :

  • Must have High school diploma or GED
  • Must have current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification
  • Must have 3+ yrs. Specific Part 121 Air Carrier Aviation Maintenance Experience or relevant Military Experience
  • Must possess / have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport / equivalent (within 90 days of start date)
  • Must have ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, & occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have strong communication skills w / ability to speak, read, & write in English
  • Must be comfortable in a non-union role that is tasked with supervising union workers
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
