University Health Network (UHN) is hiring a Data Analyst to work in the growing field of Healthcare Value Based Care. This position offers a work from home option for employees who meet performance requirements. Candidate must reside in East Tennessee Region and be able to commute to the corporate office located in Knoxville, TN for occasional meetings. Candidate must be able to maintain HIPAA privacy requirements when working in a home office setting.

Note: This position is funded through a grant and is expected to continue until December 31, 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Analyst is a full-time position that is responsible for analyzing large sets of data from multiple sources. The Data Analyst creates and validates multiple weekly and monthly end user reports. They will also monitor process performance, satisfaction of our customers, and identify improvements in data collection that will better meet the needs of the department. Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, and ETL processes is highly desired. This position reports to the Manager of Data Analytics.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or relevant field desired.
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or similar role required. Will consider education in lieu of work experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including SQL and Python.
  • Proficiency using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes desired.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
