Position: Senior Data Engineer
\nAs a Senior Data Engineer at OpenGov, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure that support the company’s data-driven products and services. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the efficient processing, storage, and retrieval of vast amounts of government financial data.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions.
\nDevelop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
\nOptimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
\nTroubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
\nImplement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive government information.
\nStay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:
\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
\nProven experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
\nStrong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
\nExpertise in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
\nHands-on experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
\nSolid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
\nFamiliarity with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
\nExperience with data modeling and database design principles.
\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.
