The HR Support Specialist provides high-quality service to all customers.<\/p>\n<p>These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center.  Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.<\/p>\n<p>Provides service to customers:<\/p>\n<p>Greets all walk-in customers (applicants, employees, guests, etc.) and responds to routine requests in a timely and professional manner.<br \/>\nAnswers Human Resources department phone lines in a professional and friendly manner.<br \/>\nTakes messages and refers calls to appropriate staff members promptly.<br \/>\nRetrieves, responds to, and\/or appropriately directs Human Resource voice mail messages accordingly.<br \/>\nDistributes Human Resources information and forms to customers.<br \/>\nReviews submitted forms to ensure that all information and signatures are complete.<br \/>\nAssists in communicating benefits information and interpreting human resources policies and procedures.<br \/>\nResponds to employment verification requests following Hospital policy<br \/>\nPrepares and mails employee anniversary cards monthly.<br \/>\nCollects and distributes mail.  Order, receive, and distribute routine supplies for the department.<br \/>\nCoordinates maintenance and upkeep of departmental machines (i.e. copier, fax, etc.)<br \/>\nAssist with recruitment functions:<\/p>\n<p>Prepares and mails application acknowledgments bi-weekly.<br \/>\nAdministers skill tests to applicants.<br \/>\nSchedules newly hired employees for pre-employment processing and Hospital orientation.<br \/>\nDistributes, collects, and reviews all employment-related documents.<br \/>\nVerifies employment eligibility and completes I-9 forms.<br \/>\nCoordinates reference and criminal background check processes.<br \/>\nPhotocopies supporting documentation (i.e., licensure).<br \/>\nIssues hospital identification badges.<br \/>\nPrepares official personnel files.<br \/>\nMaintains master files for applications, I-9 forms, and other human resource documents.<br \/>\nAssists with various departmental-related duties:<\/p>\n<p>Coordinates the retrieval and return of terminated employee files as needed.<br \/>\nEnters New Employee Orientation (NEO) attendees in the Health Stream System application.<br \/>\nMaintains and enters employee parking information in access.<br \/>\nPrepares check requisitions and purchase orders.<br \/>\nAssigns lockers and issues uniform vouchers.<br \/>\nCompletes special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge:<\/p>\n<p>High School Diploma required<br \/>\nFive years of customer experience required; specific human resources experience preferred; OR any similar combination of education and experience.<br \/>\nSkills:<\/p>\n<p>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.<br \/>\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite required and prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.<br \/>\nAbilities:<\/p>\n<p>Ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems is preferred.<br \/>\nProfessionalism and confidentiality are required.<br \/>\nPhysical Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.<br \/>\nMust be able to lift or push\/pull up to 25 pounds<\/p>\n<p>Insight is an equal opportunity employer and values workplace diversity!<\/p>\n<p>HR Support Specialist &#8211; Entry Level In Canada<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/governmentjobsgyan.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply For This Job Now<\/a><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description Under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Human Resources\/Risk Management, the Human Resources Support Specialist provides a variety of customer support services for the department.
