Job Responsibilities:
\nDefine Sutherland’s Reputation: This position is responsible for providing a full range of accounting support for the FTP clients.
\nProduce Financial Statements: Work closely with transaction processing staff on finance\/accounting matters, ensuring accuracy in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports\/statements.
\nAnalyze and Reconcile: Analyze income statement accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, as well as general ledger accounts. Identify issues and make recommendations for improvement.
\nHandle Up-to-Date Information: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules for management personnel, external auditors, and SEC reporting. Also, prepare monthly journal entries.
\nStrengthen Relationships: Collaborate with business units to develop division budgets and records in the financial system. Work with the Manager, peers, and staff in the development of a customer-centered work group.
\nBe Analytical and Creative: Execute mechanisms to measure customer satisfaction and work with the Manager and staff to improve overall levels of customer service.
\nRequirements and Qualifications:
\nOur most successful candidates will have:<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college or university with 0-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\nProficiency with various software applications programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a working knowledge of financial systems.
\nGood grasp of fundamental accounting concepts and ability to apply that knowledge.
\nKnowledge and experience in the application of generally accepted accounting principles.
\nStrong customer service orientation as demonstrated in previous relevant roles.
\nAbility to manage relationships with employees and staff within the organization.
\nDemonstrated analytical skills to review financial data and produce reports and statements that meet company standards.
\nInitiative to take ownership of business unit accounting work to allow financial analysts to focus on providing financial support to the business.
\nPreference for working in a service-oriented environment where continuous improvement of business processes is expected.
