Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Transcribe medical dictation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
\nAssign appropriate medical codes to procedures and diagnoses for billing and insurance purposes.
\nReview and interpret patient medical records to ensure proper coding and documentation.
\nMaintain a deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
\nCollaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve coding issues and discrepancies.
\nKeep up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
\nSafeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
\nRequired Skills:<\/p>\n
Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist\/ Medical Coder.
\nCertification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS-P) preferred.
\nFamiliarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
\nExcellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.
\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.
\nAbility to adapt to changing healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
\nProficiency in using medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
