Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) creates unified digital experiences for prospects and members across the entire customer lifecycle, powered by data and supports AXP growth by designing best-in-class digital & data capabilities and platforms.<\/p>\n

The EDDS Control Management Reporting Team is part of the Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting pillar. The objective of this pillar is to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on Operational Risk within BU processes for EDDS to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, Amex policy and enhance the BUs resilience through managing a clear methodology of inherent and residual risk.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EDDS is looking for a Mgr, Operational Risk Reporting, focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.<\/p>\n

The Mgr, Operational Risk Reporting will:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00b7 Compile thematic risk reporting (levels, trends, causes) to provide actionable insights to BU on current risk levels, emerging trends and root causes<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Advise BU with identification of risks and spotting areas where product changes or improved controls may be required<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Support risk management practices within the business<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Review risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for ongoing monitoring<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise<\/p>\n

Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 3+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and\/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and\/or operational standards<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Experience in at least one of the following:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Providing identification of operational risks throughout business processes and systems<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Facilitating risk assessment performance in addition to further assessments and testing programs to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Enhancing risk assessments and associated methodologies<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Reviewing independent control monitoring, including identification of control improvements<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Identifying areas of risk for intervention, including conducting independent quality assurance and process testing<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Reviewing thematic risk reporting to provide actionable insights on risk levels, emerging trends and root causes<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Experience in financial services industry<\/p>\n
