American Airlines Group is seeking a dedicated and resilient Remote Account Support Specialist to join our team. As an entry-level position, this role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and support while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This part-time position allows for flexibility while making a significant impact in our customer relations.

Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction:

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls with customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring satisfaction and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Provide clear, accurate information regarding account inquiries, airline policies, and travel arrangements.

Account Management:

  • Support customers in managing their accounts including booking modifications, cancellations, and itinerary changes.
  • Work closely with the account management team to ensure customers receive timely updates regarding their accounts.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify customer concerns and escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Use problem-solving skills to resolve routine issues and answer general questions.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activities in the designated systems.
  • Assist with the preparation and documentation of reports related to customer queries and feedback.

Project Management Support:

  • Collaborate with team members on various projects aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Help plan and oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.

Communication:

  • Maintain open communication with team members and management regarding project status and customer feedback.
  • Contribute to team meetings and provide input on improving processes and services.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed about airline products, services, and policies to effectively assist customers.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops as required.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or enrollment in a degree program in a related field is favorable.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a remote setting, is a plus but not required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Dedicated and resilient personality with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong project management and planning skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on active listening.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team structure.
