What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  • Respond to clinician and patient billing-related inquiries across various communication platforms
  • Maintain accurate records of prior authorization requests, approvals, and denials in databases
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure effective service delivery to patients and clients
  • Monitor and follow up on prior authorization requests to ensure timely approvals
  • Stay informed about insurance policies to ensure compliance with prior authorization criteria

What is Required (Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare billing experience, preferably in prior authorizations
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Experience using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce) strongly preferred
