Full Job Description:-
Altech is supporting a customer (HVAC hardware provider) and is seeking an innovative and strategic Data Scientist to join our Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will leverage data analytics, machine learning, and statistical models to drive actionable insights and contribute to our transition toward digital transformation. This position offers the opportunity to work with large datasets from hardware products and develop cutting-edge solutions that enhance customer experience, optimize performance, and generate new business opportunities.
Understanding and appreciation for IOT / sensor data gathering and curation using handheld and other hardware instruments. This is the data that will be the basis for any analytics

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Extract, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Machine Learning: Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to forecast trends, predict customer behaviors, and improve product performance.
  • Algorithm Development: Create algorithms to process and interpret data from hardware products, IoT devices, and customer interactions.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product, R&D, Engineering, and Marketing teams to understand data needs and deliver insights that align with Fieldpiece’s strategic goals.
  • Data Visualization: Build intuitive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Optimization: Continuously refine models and analytical techniques to improve accuracy and scalability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, structured documentation of data models, assumptions, and methodologies.
  • Innovation: Identify new opportunities to leverage data for product improvement and development of recurring revenue models.

Experience:

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business strategy and how data science can support key objectives, particularly in enhancing customer experience and growing recurring revenue streams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a hardware-centric company.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for large-scale data processing.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML trends and emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of Fieldpiece’s industry (HVAC, tools, and instrumentation) or similar fields.
