What work will you perform?

In this role, you’ll analyze and manage data for our Trailer Maintenance and Trailer Utilization teams, emphasizing automation and process improvement. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytical needs and streamline workflows. As the primary contact for data applications, you’ll extract insights, track key metrics, and generate regular reports, including budget reports. Using various analytical techniques, you’ll provide data-driven recommendations while overseeing budget and forecast preparations. Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with internal or external clients to identify analytical requirements as needed
  • Support the selection and development of systems to support the needs of the department and data analytics
  • Serve as system administrator of departmental data application(s)
  • Extract data from databases, define and track key department metrics by developing a set of meaningful, repeatable daily/weekly/monthly reports, as needed.
  • Perform analysis using various techniques, including statistical, explanatory, predictive modeling and data mining
  • Present data analysis and resulting recommended business decisions or findings to management
  • Coordinate and lead the timely compilation and preparation of forecast and budget
  • Collaborate with teams to identify analytical needs and implement automated solutions that enhance data workflows and improve overall process efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Power Query for data transformation and preparation

Required Minimum Experience And Education

  • 1 year of experience using SQL
  • 1 year of analytical experience and generating reports
  • 1 year experience working in a professional office environment
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) from a two-year college or Technical School

Preferred Experience And Education

  • 1 year of Data Analyst experience in the Transportation/Logistics field
  • 1 year of proficient experience using Cognos Business Intelligence Tools
  • 1 year of experience using SSRS report builder
  • 1 year of PowerBi experience

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proficient in Word and PowerPoint, advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated history of autonomously developing new insights from data
  • Experience managing projects and ability to prioritize assignments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to develop visualizations based on data analysis results
