RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately review, assess, and assign codes to medical procedures and diagnoses.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Utilize industry-standard coding systems and software to process claims.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terms and procedures.
Coding Proficiency: Understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Attention to Detail: Ability to review and analyze complex medical records with precision.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with healthcare professionals and insurance providers.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in coding guidelines and industry regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field.
Relevant certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus.
Prior experience in medical billing and coding is advantageous but not mandatory.
